Shannon Stephenson, LADAC,
LADACShannon Stephenson is a highly skilled and compassionate licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselor based in Albuquerque, NM. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of New Mexico and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work at Ohio University, Shannon has a solid educational foundation to support her expertise in the field.
One of Shannon’s areas of specialization is in choice recovery path material, where she has gained extensive knowledge and experience. She is also an expert in facilitating Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) groups, providing a supportive and transformative environment for individuals on their recovery journey.
Having previously worked as a clinical manager at Choice Recovery Path, Shannon has now taken on the role of Director of Recovery Services at Krossroads Integrated Health. In this position, she oversees and leads the delivery of high-quality recovery services, ensuring that individuals receive the support they need to achieve lasting change.
Shannon is an active member of the recovery community and has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the criminal justice population. Her experience in working with this specific group has equipped her with unique insights and strategies to address their needs effectively.
In addition to her professional achievements, Shannon is a dedicated parent to five children and has been a resident of New Mexico for 20 years. She shares her home with three beloved dogs and finds joy in helping others heal and recover from substance use disorders.
Shannon’s passion extends beyond individual counseling, as she also loves teaching others about addiction and the essential life skills needed to improve outcomes. Through her teaching, she strives to empower others to become the best professionals in the field, ultimately contributing to the overall well-being of individuals and communities impacted by addiction.
